Writing Prompt – Google and rescue Operation

Today’s Writing Prompt – What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were
you looking for it?

Well, this one is a boring one. I was looking up plan information for Medicare plans from Conventry Healthcare ha ha! Just trying to see what was up with the plan that my hubby signed himself up for the other day. See, BORING!! But what did we do before Google? We sure would have had to kill a lot more trees to make the books and pamphlets to look up those things that I just found in a matter of seconds!

So I’m going back to the writing prompt from November 3rd and writing about that instead 🙂 Placebo effect – If you could create a painless, inexpensive cure for a singleailment, what would you cure and why?

Assuming I can create a cure for anything, I want the cure to be for cancer. Everyone in the world has to have been affected in some way by this disease. It’s more often than not a painful and debilitating way to die. If there was some way that you could give someone a pill and bam! cancer’s gone, that would be awesome. I am in awe of those who have fought cancer and won! I am blessed to have many of these wonderful people, men, women and children and I think that they are all heroes! I also have fantastic memories of those who have been taken by this disease and I cannot wait to be reunited with them in Heaven.

Well, hello there!

Ok, I promise this time I am going to do better! Life has been busy, but I’ve really got this blogging bug going now. I want this to be a place where I can be me – thus the name and the snazzy new header!

I also want to use it as a force to help me make improvements and I am a firm believer in you just have to jump in where you are and do what you can. I am through making excuses for things that are not done simply because I am too lazy to get up and do them! So there will always be a daily plan for me now because obviously I can’t be left to my own devices or I go off willy-nilly!

I hope you will stick with me because it’s only going to get better from here 🙂

Hi!

Hey, I was going to be so much better at this but then I get busy doing other things 🙂 Anyway, nothing new to update. Doing much better health wise and feeling like things are rolling again. Eating is on track and have started bumping up the exercise!

No is always the ok answer

I read an article here tonight that got me to thinking about how sometimes no is the best answer that you can give.

The article talks about a young girl who says no to something and how that means that she is choosing for herself which things are important for her to do and which are not – an expression of her individuality. It got me to thinking that even as an adult that I have trouble saying no to things I don’t really want to do or places I don’t want to go. Often I will make the plans and then will look for a way to get out of them. Most of the time when I do go, I enjoy myself but I always feel like I should be doing something else. So, why do I say yes in the first place? Sometimes it’s obligation – it’s something I feel like I HAVE to do. Sometimes it really is something that at the time I am asked or presented with the invitation I am interested, but by the time the event rolls around I’m all eh about the whole thing. Why? I like being around the people I choose to be around or I wouldn’t hang out with them. Physically I do get tired, so that’s part of it (which is one more reason I need to let this weight go)….anyway, it’s something that is on my mind….something for thought 🙂

Thanks for reading this if you have found your way here! I am starting this new blog as a new start for both blogging and life! I hope that this blog will serve as an inspiration to those who are trying to eat healthy, lose weight and improve their health. August 17, 2014 I had a heart attack. That is a big scare to me because I am only 42 and I am using it as a wake-up call to eat better and get rid of some extra weight.

So, what you will see here is healthy recipes, progress pics, reviews for products or books, rants and successes and much more! If there is something that you would like to see, let me know and I will think about adding it! I’m also going to work on menu plans; this will be accountability for me because I do well with the plan but stink with the execution 🙂

Finally, you’ll probably find that I have a bit of a Pollyanna attitude a lot of the time, hope that doesn’t make you want to leave (ha ha!) but I find that things just go better if you try to keep a positive attitude. So while there might be rants, I’m probably going to look for the bright side even in those situations 🙂
